TOILETS Generously large outhouses are composting solid waste naturally.

BUILDING MATERIALS USED IN
THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE HOSTEL All timber was (and is) locally harvested. Some is (and was) salvaged from the local dump.

RECYCLING The hostel collects all recyclables from glass to tin to plastics and used batteries.

|

COMPOSTING The hostel is practicing worm composting ....and it is a beauty to watch! We are donating worms to those who want them.
